Erasmus+ Key Action 2: Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education

Organisations involved in adult education can apply for funding to run collaborative projects aimed at improving adult education provision.

What activities are possible?

Strategic Partnerships in adult education can last for 2 or 3 years and are a flexible way of working with partners from different countries. Strategic Partnerships in adult education must focus on activities designed to improve adult education provision across the participating countries. Activities could include:
  • Developing, testing and implementing innovative approaches and practices for adult learners, staff and organisations
  • Providing flexible pathways for adult learners including validation of prior learning
  • Improving access to adult education
  • Facilitating the recognition and certification of skills and competences
  • Training, teaching and learning activities such as blended mobility of adult learners, joint staff training events, and teaching and training assignments.
Full details of these activities, including durations and eligibility criteria, are given in the Programme Guide.

How many partners are needed?

Strategic Partnerships in adult education must include a minimum of 3 partners from 3 different Programme Countries, including the applicant organisation. The number of partners and funding will vary depending on the project’s aims and activities. Strategic Partnerships can receive a maximum of 150,000 euro in funding per year.

Who can apply?

Any organisation involved in adult education can participate in a Strategic Partnership for adult education, either as the lead or as a partner. One organisation must lead the project and make the application for funding. Organisations leading a project must apply to their National Agency on behalf of the partnership.

Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted by 12am CET on 30 April 2014. There will only be one deadline in 2014. Projects start on 1 September 2014.
